Terms of service.
LAST UPDATED · JULY 12, 2026
These are the terms for using yaakov.ai and for the AI automation services provided by Yaakov T. doing business as Yaakov.AI. They're written in plain language on purpose. If you have questions before agreeing, email jacob@yalavanity.com.
Who these terms apply to
They apply to you if you visit yaakov.ai, submit a form on the site, or hire me to build an automation. If we sign a separate written agreement for a specific engagement, that agreement takes precedence over anything on this page for that engagement.
Using the site
You may read, share, and quote from the site freely. You may not scrape it for a competing service, republish full articles without permission, or use it to train a commercial AI model. Everything on the site is either mine or used with permission.
Free audits
The 20-minute audit is free and honest. During the audit I may recommend automations I could build, automations you could build yourself, or automations you shouldn't build at all. The audit doesn't create any obligation on either side.
Fixed-quote builds
For single automations and starter stacks, I quote a fixed price in writing before any work starts. Payment terms are 50% at kickoff, 50% at launch, unless we agree otherwise in the quote. If the scope changes mid-build, the change is quoted as a separate line item and approved before it's built.
Every fixed-quote build includes a defined post-launch fix window — 14 days for a single automation, 30 days for a starter stack — during which I fix any bug I introduced at no additional charge. Fixes after that window are billed hourly at a rate I'll quote in advance.
Ongoing partner engagements
The ongoing partner arrangement is billed monthly and is month-to-month. Either party can end it with 15 days written notice. Unused hours don't roll over month-to-month, but nothing you've paid for is ever forfeit — anything already built is yours.
What you own vs. what I own
On payment in full, you own the automation I built for you — the workflows, the code, the credentials, the documentation. You can keep it, modify it, or take it to someone else to maintain. No restrictions.
I retain the right to use general knowledge, patterns, and my own pre-existing tooling in other engagements. I don't reuse anything confidential to your business — customer lists, pricing data, internal processes.
What I can't promise
AI models change, third-party APIs deprecate, and businesses evolve. An automation that works flawlessly on launch day may need maintenance six months later. I'll always be upfront about that risk during the audit, and where practical, I build automations to fail loudly (with alerts) rather than quietly (with wrong data).
I can't guarantee specific revenue increases, hour savings, or ROI figures. Estimates I provide are best-effort based on similar work and your specific situation — they're informed guesses, not promises.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, my total liability for any claim relating to an engagement is limited to the fees you paid me for that specific engagement in the 12 months before the claim. I'm not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. This doesn't limit anyone's liability for fraud or willful misconduct.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Disputes are resolved in the courts located in Los Angeles County, California, unless we agree otherwise in a specific engagement.
Changes to these terms
I may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will update the date at the top of this page and, for active clients, I'll email a summary of what changed. Continued use of the site or services after a change means you accept the updated terms.
